Dear Cake Picnic friends!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being part of Cake Picnic Part Deux last weekend. What began as a tiny idea—just a few of us meeting behind the school after our 6 week cake class—has grown into something truly magical because of all of you.
Our very first picnic back in the spring was freezing, grey, and windy, but it was still filled with so much warmth thanks to the incredible bakers and cake lovers who came together.
Fast forward to last weekend, and the magic was multiplied—perfect weather, amazing music, coffee, drinks, glitter, flower crowns, henna, and of course, the most beautiful cakes baked with so much love and care.
The energy you brought made the event what it was.
Guests told us they felt safe, happy, and cared for, and someone said, “It’s like Coachella with cake!”
That joy, that connection, that community—it was wonderful!
One of my favorite things was hearing how many of you came alone and left with new friends, bonding over slices of cake on picnic blankets.
Some of you even traveled from Barrie, Hamilton, Ottawa, and beyond just to be here—thank you for making the trip to share in the love of cake.
My team and I worked hard on the details, but it was your presence, your laughter, and your cakes that made the picnic so special. You made it feel warm, joyful, and unforgettable.
We’re already dreaming up ideas for the next cake picnic! (yes, more cake magic is coming)—so stay tuned. Until then, thank you again for filling the park, and our hearts, with sweetness.
